Manage Students

Verify new students, edit student information, and manage your class roster.

Accessing Student Management

Navigate to Manage Students from the sidebar or click the Students card on your dashboard.

Student Verification

When students register for your class, they appear in the pending verification section.

Verification Process

  1. Review the student's registration details
  2. Verify the admission number matches school records
  3. Click Approve to grant access
  4. Or click Reject with a reason

Why Verification Matters

Verification ensures only legitimate students access school data. Once you approve a student, they can view their exam results and school information.

Editing Student Information

You can edit information for students you've personally approved.

Editable Fields

  • Student Name - Full name as per school records
  • Email Address - Student's email for notifications
  • Admission Number - Unique school admission number
  • Class - Current class assignment

How to Edit

  1. Find the student in your list
  2. Click the edit icon (✎) next to the field you want to change
  3. Enter the new value in the inline input
  4. Click to save or to cancel

Searching Students

Use the search bar to find students by:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Admission number
  • Class

Statistics Cards

At the top of the page, you'll see:

  • Total Students - All students in your faculty
  • You Approved - Students you personally verified
  • Editable Students - Number of students you can edit

Permissions

  • You can only view all students in your faculty
  • You can only edit students you approved
  • Admission numbers set by the school cannot be changed once set
  • The updated_at timestamp is automatically recorded
