Celebra uses the official Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) grading system, ensuring all exam results are calculated and displayed according to national standards. The system automatically calculates grades, points, and mean scores.

Verification & Security System

Celebra implements a robust verification workflow to ensure only authorized users access the platform:

  • Teacher Verification - Teachers register and submit verification requests. The principal of their selected school must approve before they can access teaching features.
  • Student Verification - Students register with their admission number. Teachers verify student accounts before results become visible.
  • Role-Based Access - Each user type (student, teacher, principal) has specific permissions. Teachers can only manage their assigned classes and subjects.
  • Biometric Authentication - Mobile app supports Face ID, Touch ID, and fingerprint for secure, quick login.

Exam Results Management

Teachers can efficiently manage exam results through bulk uploads and individual entry:

  • CSV Bulk Upload - Upload multiple student results at once using CSV files
  • Individual Entry - Add or edit single student scores directly
  • Automatic Grading - System calculates KNEC grades and points automatically
  • Result Posting - Class teachers control when results become visible to students
  • Edit History - Track changes made to exam results

Important: Exam Posting Permissions

  • • Class Teachers can post/unpost results for their assigned classes (makes results visible to students)
  • • Subject Teachers can upload results but cannot post them - only class teachers can publish
  • • Editing Rights - Teachers can only edit results they personally uploaded
  • • Class Teacher Override - Class teachers can edit any subject's results for their class
